This thoughtfully designed space cleverly transforms to suit the mood. By day, it offers a sophisticated ambience perfect for a business lunch or a special occasion. As evening falls, the atmosphere shifts, creating a vibrant lounge and bar ideal for unwinding with friends.

The Maze’s menu offered a wide variety of dishes, from hearty breakfasts to lighter lunches and flavorful dinners. I browsed the lunch section and opted for the mushroom soup as a starter, followed by the Jamaican Jerky Chicken with plantain for my main course. The soup arrived with garlic bread, butter, and a refreshing pineapple juice I had requested. True to the Hugamara Group’s reputation for speed, my meal arrived within an impressive 7-10 minutes.
The soup, as expected in Uganda, was delicious, and the garlic bread was perfect. The Jerky Chicken lived up to its reputation – the jerk seasoning was spot-on, and the plantains were a delightful twist with their crispy texture. The restaurant’s focus on attentive service and presentation created a fine-dining atmosphere without being overly pretentious.
